Got it! Sounds great. Are you doubling the whole wing (chord) to the half way point or just the spar cap?

This morning I cleared out the channels to epoxy in the wing tubes - the channel is deeper at the far end of the tube to create a small about of dihedral so the wings do not look drooped - I tacked in the wing tubes with 5min epoxy and checked they are about 10mm up at the tips when the wing rod is parallel to the bench - after that, I filled the void with epoxy and micro balloons.

Fingers crossed! :)

Well my loving wife organized my LEGO collection (I helped but it was her project). The end result is amazing. I pulled out the instructions to my old water bomber kit from 8 years ago and put it back together today. It took about an hour. The original design had the engines set way to far out so I moved them in as much as possible.

I can’t wait to build more stuff. Also next up is to organize the garage some more.

That’s a good trick, getting the wife to organize your toys. She’s a keeper!

My wife is also constantly offering to help organize my stuff. But she says things like a trash can at one end of the bench and push from the other end. I’ve also heard something about a can of gas and a match.

At this moment in life I have a shop where I can shut the door and my wife doesn't have to see it, saves a ton of time in setting up and tearing down vs using the coffee table in the previous place.
Final weight on the new planky is 1.2kg, 1.8m

Had some time after house chores yesterday to play around with a bronco cut in the CNC. 48" wingspan, will be powered. Probably sand in some more details but not going really scale.

I like the look of the bronco. A little shaping will really bring out the essence of the plane.

I was just discussing with my friend what would happen if I tried doing a quarter or half inch roundover bit on my trim router to soften the edges. I'll try it on some scrap foam and see what happens

VERY VERY NICE!

Next time you might want to bias the fibers at 45° to help control the wing's tendency to twist. I know this cost more in materials.
I think doing it the way you did is fine for learning how to bag, as it is much cheaper and more than adequate.

Looks great @bracesport ! I have done one little section with carbon as a test but not a whole wing. Really looking forward to seeing what you think of the cores once they come out.
While cutting out parts for the OV-10 bronco i have slowly been working on the 4 meter plank. No rush really as we are still on lockdown and not supposed to leave the county.

Not bad! Heck, it is very good!! With the little tooling you used I'd be ecstatic to get results like that!

Well done!!

Time to dry fit the rotor assembly - the great thing about this design is the interior of the fuse is 3D printed, so the 3D printed rotor assembly mates perfectly with the fuse - If I did this again I would put a ridge into the bottom of the fuse to mate with a slot in the rotor assembly for a 100% alignment! :)
