Show us what you are working on..

I have seen some guys just use toaster ovens.

Booby just needs control rods and cg.
I don't usually post too often on Facebook but I randomly for some reason did and Peter Loftus, The previous owner of wowings messaged me and we chatted one evening for a while. I guess him and the current owner are good friends and he was kind of busy. So Peter actually cut out mine and Kelly's Wing cores for the boobys.

At one point I was telling him I was still trying to figure out if I wanted to go light or heavy and he had mentioned how one of his epp planks he had covered and two layers of fiberglass packing tape and that got me thinking I'd never tried that before so I decided to do that.

No I didn't ask him the specifics of how he did it. So for my first layer I sprayed down super 77 and then went horizontal wingtip to wingtip with no overlap. Just edge to edge. Then a good wiping down with acetone and alcohol and ironed it down and gave it a light sanding. Then again sprayed with super 77. Did all the same stuff again except I went nose to tail all the way out 90° to the previous tape again with no overlap.

Pretty happy with the surface I really don't like when there's a little step of tape layers on top of each other. And even before putting the shrinking color on top, it was pretty resistant to twist in those long wings.

Looks good Nate. Will you maiden before Sunset?

Well, my CARF Kobuz is ready for a maiden flight. Got the CG all set and test ran the turbine today which went well. I 3d printed an exhaust ramp for the tail to help protect it as I heard of someone who burned their tail during a ground run. Didnt have high hopes for longevity but it handled a 60 second ground run at idle with one little throttle blip no problem. Its sounding like I may be able to maiden it this weekend. 🤞

Handy dany - We have sold a few versions of helping hands, but after using this one, got to say I like it the best!
