Kelly - Any progress on the new house? Currently I'm pretty close to your location but head home tomorrow.

Spent last week in Utah on vacation and got to meet up with a new friend in southern Salt Lake City at Point of the Mountain. It was a super fun experience and he even let me fly his Alula and a 3m molded ship. Cant wait to go back and bring some slope ships with me. My wife got a couple pics and I snagged one of the old FM channel board thats still there. Thanks again Ted, it was great to meet you.

I need to make it out there for the Soar Utah event!

I had been wanting to try building a straight wing plank (wing?). Like zero sweep front or back, as this would be super easy to cut out and build. You could easily adjust wingspan at any time. Found this oldschool modelworks BAT for pretty cheap so threw it together. Need to install the radio still.

Mainly wanted to see what they were doing with cg, throws etc. See how it flies. Ill probably go with bigger elevons, not a fan of this super tiny flimsy balsa stock they use. I ended up bagging them in my food sealer with some fiberglass to stiffen them up. I went with the more powerful motor recommendation (400+ watts 4s 95mph prop pitch speed) and was worried they wouldn't be strong enough.

Thinking if i ever get to building a slope version ill call it the uglyplank or something.
