Hey @thenated0g I heard that to make sake you have to chew up the rice and then spit it into a bucket so it can ferment while the bacteria break down the carbs and turn it into alcohol. Did you handle that whole job by yourself, or did you have a little “chewing crew” to help out? 😂 If you did it solo, I bet your jaw is still sore, haha!

Isn't that the Cava drink?

Not much rc stuff going on at the moment. Bottled some more sake and played some music live over Labor Day.

As your Doctor, I'd advise you to be careful you don't get fit-shaced with that Sake, Nate.

Strong stuff. The barrels we have here in Taiwan, but made in Japan, are typically 15% to 18% - But if you make it at home, it's likely to be 20% plus.

A buddy here made some and just left on on its own for a year. When we tested it, it was close to 25% which is really high with no distillation. Tasted good ice-cold straight from the freezer, though.;)

Campai! - or as they say in Mandarin - GanBei!

Wow, that is some solid work there! It's gonna be nice to have a deck again, huh?
That is what my wife keeps reminding me.

Job started off as just getting rid of the ugly handrails, and then the project creep slipped in. Always a risk with home projects, especially homes that have seen little maintenance for 20 years.

Trust me I heard it from all the inlaws this summer. They wanted to visit and I'd send a photo of the ripped up deck. LOL Can't wait until we can start working on the landscaping. Tired of 'abandoned property' theme we currently have for the yards.

Isn't that called "Eco Derilict" ?
:cool::p

Well, got to put the runway in the pasture first!

Right now the deck is draining my pockets of money and time. But I'm looking forward to working up a layout for the yards, and getting that all going. Right now I just have some rough ideas.

The shop needs some major upgrades too... I'm sure I have a good 10 years worth of projects to suck up my spare time.
