Show us what you are working on..

That is one thing i love about crawling, you can get away with plastic parts, your probably just going to be scratching things up as you roll down a hill. And battery life.
Crawling is fun for sure and way less likely to break stuff. Ive only had a couple other nitro cars/trucks and they were always frustrating to try and keep running well. My buddy has a couple of these and they seem to last a long time on a tank of fuel but man do they go through tires... haha

A buddy gave me a couple of brushless Traxxas cars. Fun on cell NiMH, much more fun in 3s. Basically undriveable.

The only parts so far is a body post and ALL of the bearings. I assume the bearings were sketchy anyway , but they self destructed.

I remember when brushless systems were new for the trucks, we were at a tradeshow and they had a jump setup that was like your video, some of the guys could land on the same jump, but most came crashing back to the ground and off to the repair tables. They were punching way up into the ceiling the the show space. It was a good show for sure. Can't imagine how many parts they went through.

Thats how i started too. Both really fun.

IMHO the other two must have upgrades are the ESC and magnetic body clips.
The esc you would probably get with the motor upgrade, but it allows you to go in reverse at the same slow speeds. For some reason the stock setup, even on brushed, goes crazy fast in reverse compared to forwards.
I diy'd magnetic body clips on the 1/10 with donut magnets and washers glued to the body.

You crawler guys should get one of the Escape32 escs, they are originally designed for crawlers. They are really amazing ESCs. The little 25 amp unit is TINY! They just so happen to be great for aircraft too.

They can control brushed or brushless motors.

"Okay. Are you drunk now?"

I lived in Japan for four years, Nate. I still speak it 'kinda' okay, but I am not used to it anymore, so when asked a question, I have to 'compose' the answer.

In contrast, I speak Mandarin Chinese fluently - no composition required. So, in phonetic Mandarin, that would be: "Hen hao, ni he jeo zui le ma?" - which I know is completely useless information. :ROFLMAO:

I was having trouble figuring out why anyone would want to make Sake when there are gallon-sized bottles of the stuff everywhere - until I remembered where I am. Careful of that stuff, Buddy - that white lightning has esters in it that are yet to be deciphered. It will kick your hacienda royally if overindulged. Trust me.:p

After all that meaningless waffle, I totally love the idea of making your own, well, anything!

Cumberland sausages I made on Tuesday:

Yeah I need to get the tool for measuring sugars so I know alcohol content next time.
This was about $40 in materials, figure it would be about $450 if you bought premade sake.

In the USA? Yeah for sure. Got to cost a lot, especially with tariffs, etc. Here we have gallon bottles and big old wooden drums.

I don't actually drink the stuff any more, but either hot or ice-cold, it's pretty darn good.

During Covid I got into Mead making. Still make a little here and there. I found it to be pretty rewarding. I thought about making Sake a few times... Never had the rice on hand. LOL

I grabbed some polished short grain rice from amazon. 15lbs for $30 i think. Used 11 for this batch.
