Show us what you are working on..

Trying to decide if we want to try and sell it or build it. No idea what these are even worth.
Worth a few bucks to the right person for sure. The warbirds seem to bring more money, but the jets fly awesome too. If I remember correctly they had a large cheater hole in the bottom. With modern E and turbine setups you can omit that. The Byro-fan wasn't the most efficient lol. If you do decide to build it, I may be interested in the motor.

Nate -

If you wanted to get into ducted scale models, well, a good example just fell into your lap, get to work.

But if not, then sell it on.

That OS motor should have a decent value. They are good motors.

Retracts might have some value. Guessing they are Robarts? Not sure if people build with those anymore.

Byron used to put on these big air shows that were pretty darn amazing considering the years and the quality of radios gear. Should be some videos of those online.

Here you go:

They used to put out a video every year (more or less), you could go to your local hobby shop and buy a VHS tape.

Whatever happened to ther guy and the company?

Had a really nice experience at the AMA club. Was about 5 older guys flying when i got their. They had remembered me from years ago when i was in the club and so they came out when they saw i put my name down on the flying day shared doc they keep online. My friend Travis came with me, he has flown but not for a long time and i havent really done any powered flying in a while. AND we both had 2 maidens we were doing. We all just kind of took our turns flying our own planes and everybody watching and than talking about the planes. I had accidentally set my flap compensation the wrong direction (big pop up in the air, but the t28 took it just fine) and one of the guys shared his funny story about doing the same thing and helped me switch it around. Im sure it has something to do with only doing slope soaring the past few years but i found landing to be way way easier than i remember, getting 2 of the best landings i have ever had. Power off early and glide in.

I flew the Carbonz t-28 and the Hobbyking Goblin. Travis flew his FMS 1.3m cub and didnt try the edf jet he brought (little 800mm wingspan plane), which i thought was a good idea. Hes going to get some simulator time in before that maiden.

That T28 was always super fun to land and keep it on the mains while holding the nose up until the very end. It really just floats in and made landings one of my favorite parts. Glad you are enjoying it!

If this thread is for what we’ve been working on, this is one of the projects for me. Bought this Sagitta 900 from Lee Ercolini here in Lincoln CA and was able to do the maiden flight on it last week he did an excellent job building it, but never got to fly it it didn’t take any trim and flew fast but great!

Got to keep the Mrs' happy. The deck project had slowed, but back to full steam over the weekend. Happy to be back at work!

Deck inspector does not seem to happy with my progress.

I'm not as limber as I once was!

CAD is your friend and can save you thousands in wasted materials. And dang deck boards are expensive.

I may bring the planking into a V in the lower corner. Like this:

But it is more complex and will generate more waste. The straight version has very little waste, and that is appealing due to the cost of the decking. A table will reside over the "V" area, so not as large a visual statement as you may think. The framing will probably take me an extra week for the V version. I only get a couple of hours a night for these home projects if my wife really gets after me. Aloft keeps me pretty busy.

This is about 3/5 of the total deck. The rest is a total tear out as no wood can be reused due to rot. We knew this when we bought the house. That is a future project once the pocket book recovers from this one..

Will be making some fancy steps and handrails. :) But that is a little down the line.

My new toy I got this weekend. Losi 5t 1/5 scale 2 stroke gasser. Super cool (and LOUD!) but unfortunately the pull start locked up on the first run so waiting for a new one to come tomorrow along with some other upgrades. Tuned pipe and some upgraded metal goodies came with it too. 😁
