Show us what you are working on..

I had a surprisingly great time flying my old powered p51 from stoneblue airlines. I have not flown it in probably 8 years. I figured it would have been really bad on the slope. The kit was designed and made by the guy that does Leading Edge Gliderrs (LEG) so maybe that is why it did well?

So yesterday this came across my subscriptions on youtube and it got me motivated to replace my big BAE hawk with something a little more manageable.
At first i started doing my usual thing and browsing the 3-view mega thread on rcgroups.

But after talking with @Hawaii Sloper about different options we decided on a P-38.

Went thru some balsa plans on Aerofred and found ones i like. Traced out the parts in inkscape and scaled them up for a 2m wingspan. I did shorten the main wing root just to make it a little faster.

EPP wings. Fuse parts will be balsa core with epp sheets on each side.
Going to go with a thinner profile version of the fuse and motor sections.
Airfoil suggestions?

😂she might be trying to tell you it’s her garage bro!
Nope! She has stated, a few times, that she regrets the decision to get the sign though. But I keep saying that what's done is done!! And that she is LUCKY that I LET the washer and dryer live in MY garage. LOL
BTW… @Chris We missed you and the kids at sunset this year. Sounds like you were really busy. 🤙🏽
We missed seeing you this year too... Was just too busy to get away. I was a Track coach and we had a meet, Sam had Baseball, Sam and Jordan had Soccer, and they had Kidstock (Theater).... Plus working and doing a project for a family friend.
Thankfully Soccer, Kidstock, and Track all ended this past weekend. As well as the friends project. Baseball is only another week or 2... It has been about 3 months since I have had a free day.... SOON...
We missed seeing everyone this year... Sam is still upset that we didn't get to go. He is thinking about doing less next year so we don't miss another one.. lol

I went to the MayDay Combat event at Little Mountain this weekend. I was fortunate enough to come home with the win! It’s a bit hard to tell in the pic, but the trophy is a cool piece of driftwood with hand carved combat wings on top. Every year the organizer hand makes these for the contest. Each one is different and very cool. Proud to have this one on my shelf.

Ka-8 hung up and ready for maiden. Only mod was some 3mm kite rods on the bottom of the wing

I wanted to see what the IRL size of a 2m P-38 was so i printed out the fuse parts. Original airfoil left on for incidence stuff later. Will be using MH32 on full build.
Think im going to make the wings removable just past the motor pods. So when broke down the main part of the plane will be like 29" wide.
One half of the wing is 1 meter/ 39 inches and ill beable to remove 24.5" for transport.
