Here I am shamelessly plugging for FrSky and Aloft Hobbies. The Mirage 2000C-5 has an X8R receiver and a full compliment of FrSky sensors. The Jr radio is using a XJT module driving a FrSky dash board on an LCD arm (not used on this day.) This set up was used to get telemetry on the Jet Fan/ Neu power system (from another of my northern LHS, Efflux RC) installed in this Mirage. As I was flying at close to 6K feet there isn’t any reliable data as to the impeller load. So it was wise to instrument the plane and collect the data myself.

I need to credit Matt (Honda Jet), a full size airline pilot for dealing with all the test flight chores. I'm sure that even as a foam toy, this model cut years off his life! He had on a health monitor and we saw his heart rate triple during the maiden test flight. This even after I had cut down the ailerons to 60% of that stated in the manual.
The only downside to this plane is that it is a Freewing EPO foam model, and that the USA importer really doesn't have the engineering chops to support models much beyond the trainer level. The vendor of the product is as important as the product itself when looking at the full life cycle of the product. This was MotionRC's answer to the gross aileron throws stated in the manual.
Adding a gyro and blaming the government for the ills of the world is very poor customer service. The first two rules of customer service are don't discuss religion or politics, and focus on the customer's issues. The correct response to the over sensitive ailerons and dead elevator response is to cut down the aileron throw to 40% of that in the manual and move the CofG aft at least to the rearward limit shown in the manual. Mine is now actually further aft than this, 3mm aft is a good spot for the Freewing Mirage 2000C-5 after the aileron response is brought under control.
Yes, I spent far too much time making the masks and trying to paint over EPO foam!

Wow, I see that MotionRC has removed my critical review of this Freewing model. Again the vendor you choose is very important. You can trust Aloft Hobbies reviews as Wayne has never deleted or refused to post any reviews for being highly critical of the product he sells.
I see where MotionRC is trying to sell FrSky products. Please do yourself a favor and buy these highly technical products from a vendor that actually has the engineering chops to support the product line. Do I need to spell out who that is? Ok, it is Aloft Hobbies!
