Set special function as Global question

I have a number of special functions that I have been able to set as global, rather nice as it saves time on model setup but I just created a new SF that the global option is greyed out.
So far all of my special functions are play audio and the six that I managed to set as global are triggered via switch position, SF7 is also switch triggered but "Global on" can not be selected.
What are the requirements for a special function to be allowed to be set as global?

I don't believe you can have a global special function on telemetry as telemetry is not necessarily available globally.

I will have to look at the ones I can not set as global and see if they are all telemetry triggered.

What are the requirements for a special Geometry Dash Lite function to be allowed to be set as global?

It could be the little connector known as upgrade/Ain2. Next to the TD R12's switch port?
