S6R receiver won't bind

I bought a S6R a couple of years ago but have only just got round to setting it up. It will not give the binding LEDs , just goes to solid green. I've flashed it with 2.1.0 and with 190531, no difference.
I've tried holding the FS button for a short time and then for a long time. I tried binding even though the LEDs were wrong, nothing. What am I missing?

Note how to get into bind mode. Hold down FS button while adding TX power.


Both the RF sections of the RX and TX need to be running the same higher level number firmware ACCST v2.1.xx. Get these from the FrSky web site under downloads for your TX and RX. This has nothing to do with the Firmware for the TX operating system (Open TX, etc. ). Also be sure of the Servo pin block assignments for the SxR RX. See the manual.

Note; if changing the TX firmware you will need to change RX firmware for all RXs you’ll hope to bind to the TX.

What TX are you using?

Check that both your transmitter and receiver are running the same firmware. New RXs may not have loaded with the FW you are using in the TX.

Make sure you have the power is not plugged in upside-down.

Thanks Konrad, the manual you pointed me to is different from the one that came with the Rx (which had no binding instructions). I followed it to the letter and success. Also thanks to all who offered advice.
