I received a RX8R Pro receiver today. Flashed the firmware and did a quick test. Seemed to work fine. Surprised that it had whisker antennas rather than PCB. Has shrink tubing on the ends which is something new to me with FrSky receivers.

Bob, I purchased it from HorusRC. I don't have it in front of me, but the antennas appeared to be standard length of 150mm. I'll measure later to verify.

Thanks for that, yes i checked Horus, they show them in stock, they USA? i would rather get one from Aloft.
Standard length antenna, ok.

With apologies to Wayne, first time I've ever ordered from HorusRC. Everything FrSky related I've typically purchased from Aloft. Here's a pic of the antenna.

Ha Ha, I am sure Wayne will get them in for us! I just need one now.
The antenna looks OK except the covering on the element. The element appears to be of standard length, 1/4 wave.
What type of model are you going to put this receiver in?

75" YAK-54 with a DLA32 engine. XM+ for redundancy.
