I notice the x20 has a snap roll on the mix menu, but the X18 doesn't. So for the X18 I set up 2 Var mixes- one for each aileron, on the same switch. Is this the best way?

Hello, I think this is amazing idea. By using differential aileron deflection, you induce an asymmetric stall, causing one wing to drop sharply.

Setting two variable mixtures for each flap on the same switch is a valid approach to achieving the fast flip effect on the X18. This method allows you to control the flaps independently, which can enhance maneuverability during fast flips.
