Replace both batteries in my Horus X10S

I just replaced both batteries in my Horus Z10S. Not at the same time though. The main battery started getting real short, so I contacted Aloft And they asked me to send my battery to them.

There is a board in the battery pack that needs to migrate to the new cells. They had the new pack assembled and own it's way back to me the day after they received it. I am most impressed with their speed. I have always received my orders from Aloft quickly, even with the cheapest shipping. But then I only live less than 200 miles away (for now, will soon be 2000+ miles).

Replacing the main battery is easy. 4 Screws to remove the back and 4 screws to remove the battery holder. I also removed to screws that retain the little board that holds the USB port, Smart port, and Trainer port. It was easier to have the battery hold out so my fingers could manipulate everything. The little Haptic device will fall out of it's holder as it just loosely lays in there.

Then the RTC battery started failing on me, so I aske Aloft what battery was needed. It is a 1220 Lithium CMOS Battery. This is not a hard battery to replace, but no where as easy as the main battery. The danged thing is on opposite side of the main board when you have the case back off, buried between the board and the LCD display. The Display is held in place by the main board. If you dislodge the LCD, you will be annoyed a bit. I did nor dislodge it hit. I Pulled down a YouTube video on how to do this job. I learned from the fellows mistake. The enter button has to be removed. Easy to do. Just use your finger nails will work fine. The main board has to be set free, not removed but all of the screw removed (the main battery and it's holder first. I decided to remove the cables at the top of the Main board and the little board (USB port, Smart port, and Trainer port). The cables come loose easily by slipping a finger nail under one end and then the other to pry them up. That still leaves the LCD ribbon cable and the antenna cable. The ribbon cable is at the top of the main board and the antenna cable at the bottom, So this does not leave much room LEAVE THESE 2 CABLES. It will still be tight and upside down to get at the RTC battery but not that hard. There is a spring clip the holds the battery at the top end of the board. Just press it and fish the old battery out. Press the new one end under the spring clip and the press flat. Simple.

The cables fit in little slotted tabs that retain them in place. The antenna cable does have a routing, so take a picture and put it back the way it was.

Pay attention to which screws goes where, they are not all the same. Also take pictures to reference every thing.

This is the video I watched to learn how to replace the RTC Battery.

My eyes aren't so good anymore, and I starting to get a shake in my hands. But still this was not a hard job.
