? Regarding use of stabilized receiver with Open Tx

Raymond Gaskins

Very Strong User
I have only used Open Tx for about one year and am gradually moving my aircraft to it on the FrSky X10s Express Tx. I am a previous JR user and my planes are all set up for the TAER channel order. I am getting ready to put a FrSky 8 channel stabilized receiver in my new Extreme Flight Extra NX 60 sized electric and understand the channel order will need to be AETR for the first 4 channels to work correctly with the gyro. I will be using the ACCESS protocol. I already have a similar EF Extra 300 V2 which is dialed in on Open Tx with a 8 channel glider receiver, but the gyro should let me fly in higher winds as both aircraft are very light.
My question is,
Can I duplicate and rename a model and use the same settings and simply move the JR channel order around to correspond to the AETR channel order required by the stabilized receiver, or do I need to dedicate a radio to use the System channel order of AETR with stabilized receivers.
I am not sure if I can use TAEV and AETR channel orders on the same radio or if each model must stay with the channel order specified in the System profile.
Any erudite help with this would save me from pulling out my remaining scalp hair(s)!
Thanks in advance,
Raymond Gaskins

As Konrad noted, the order is specific to the individual model. The order you designated in the System Profile is only used with the options or wizard to create a new, basic model. You can move them around for any model at any time. Just meant as a step saver default when creating a new model.
