recommendation for 1.5 to 2m (roughly) composite slope glider

Hi all,

I just saw a YT video by @Red which was very impressive:

He is whipping a four meter ship around like its a foamy. I consider Sunset to be "tight" in terms of landing zone and he just cruises in like its nothing. Anyway, now I need to get in on that action.

I am looking for a recommendations for a composite glider in the 1.5-2m range suitable for the usual Bay Area sites (Thornton, Sunset, Coyote, etc).

Would prefer recommendations from @Wayne's current inventory because once I get an idea in my head I'm impatient.

PS If you have graduated from one of your own composite gliders I'd be open to a used plane as well. I am just getting started with slope soaring, so any good quality plane, used or otherwise, is fine for me.

Hi Smirk, in terms of Aloft stock, your only option is the 2m span Tracer. The Tracer has a good rep here and in the USA, with some good videos here on this forum in the Tracer thread.
A more advanced 2m model, unfortunately oos at Aloft but available from the UK, is the Aeroic Toccata. The Toccata is an absolutely fantastic model IMHO, so it’s unfortunate it’s not available to you locally.

Actually I have 2 Toccata in stock, just not shown on the site. I have his 60" and some 4 and 5 meter ships from the same.

The Toccata would be a good choice, and is the sister ship to the glider in the video you posted up.

Cant really go wrong with Toccata. I love my Forza and have flown it at Sunset the last two years as well as at The Slot. After flying at Thorton, I would love to bring it there one of these days too. I am getting a Corsa as well and will be excited to get that one in the air too.

Aloft has the Aeroic Sessanta in stock which would be a good option too if you want 1.5m. I have been wanting a Toccata but have to wait until some upcoming purchases go through... lol
