Receivers won't connect, register, or bind anymore

Way back in FrSky history, some items could be killed if plugged in backwards. They almost always have reverse polarity these days. But speaking from first hand knowledge, if you do manage to reverse the voltage into a servo you will kill it. This is usually the result of adding wing connectors and not paying attention.

Pretty sure FrSky has marked all of their receivers, and the LEDs do a different light show when reversed.

Years ago they mis marked a full production run of one of the receivers. They used to use stickers back then. Now they typically are molded into the case. A little silver paint pin could be used to highlight the polarity markings.

That's a nice idea.

I use a silver paint pen for marking certain housings, either for polarity or for order, as in which servo connector corresponds to which receiver output.

I too have difficulty seeing the molded markings.

Nice suggestion on the silver paint or sharpie!
I fried a wing servo on the Swift still can't figure out if I plugged the servo in or more likely plugged the battery in wrong (It had a servo connecter also)
That was a pain to replace the servo and the entire length of wire in the EPP wing.

I never noticed the molded markings on the side of the receiver until Andreas Engel posted a still shot of my own video! I was looking for markings on the label, not on the case itself.
