RC boat at Heather Farms, Walnut Creek CA, USA.
One thing i have found with RC boats is its hard to know how fast a boat is going to be when you buy it. You really need a boat specific to the size of water you are going around in. That would be a perfect speed for a smaller pond or for handing to kids.

I really want to get one of these kits sometime

Nate,
this was a first for me. Never had a motor boat before. Got the hull with some mechanics and I put the rest together, to the best of my knowledge.
We have this pond in town and I went there to try it.
I was afraid that in case of any accident I would never recover the boat. I would not dare to step in this pond without fearing for my life.
The funny thing is that the geese and some fish do survive. But , I am not in position to take the risk myself...

Somehow I've got the CG right , but I think that the propeller should be spinning faster. Like I said in the the YT comment, I need a higher Kv motor or a higher voltage battery, (or both !) ,
Then it would be screaming , but , does it need to ?

I really like the sailboat !!!

It actually looked pretty fast to me.

That is the baby one, they have several other units. I have there tug boat kit which was pretty easy and fun to build. Just had it out this weekend at my friends pond on "beer" duty.

I really have no excuse to not have one of these fast boats. This about half a block's walk

following up, now with a new motor , a Turnigy Aerodrive SK3 - 3536 1400 RPM/V , ( Max Power: 590W ) , 60A ESC , running at 3S LiPo voltage.
Don't know the actual power on the water, as I have no telemetry on this one.
the previous run was with the same type motor but Kv was 910 RPM/V

Turnigy 3536-1400

Dang thats a nice sound coming out of that now.
Also its a very scale speed. Great job.
Next time you have it cracked open share a pic. Be interested to see how big of a deal it is to diy some parts in if i ever find a deal on hull

Hi Guys - Just in - Here is a video of our pocket rocket 1.5M (60")span Sessanta flyng at Fiss Austria. No ballast, no video tuning, no nothing - just flying!

Great Video courtesy of Composite Radio Controlled Gliders CRG - Composite RC Gliders

Henchoy!

Doc.

PS: Its a little bit quicker than Jure's Bug!

BTW Just remembered - that weird looking "crease" thing on the left wing is actually a reflection.
