RB-10 telemetry "issue" with RBS

Marc

New User
Gentlemen,

Seeking help from the specialists.
My first RB-10. Wiring is as the diagram attached:
RB-10 powered by 2x 2S LiPo packs on XT30 plugs. RB-10 Flashed with Firmware 171010 (Last one available on Frsky website) and is receiver synchronized (green light flashing on RB-10)
Rx1: RX8R Pro
Rx2: R-XSR
First, I'm not getting the telemetry indicated in the RB-10 manual but something similar to what I have seen on RB-20 manual! I can live with that, no drama. Screen capture attached
Main issue I have is RBS is showing Rx3 FS but I only use 2 Rxs!
Both Rx are working, tested them individually, servos are still moving if I unplug any one of them. If Rx2 (R-XSR) is disconnected, I can see Rx2 FS on RBS. If Rx1 is disconnected, I lose telemetry (normal).
Can someone help on this matter, wondering why I cannot have RBS showing me the status of my Rxs, it would be nice to trigger an alarm to know when one Rx is giving up when flying.
Attached are 2 pics of my telemetry screen - Tx is a X9D + from 2015 using 2.1 firmware

Thanks for anyone willing/trying to help

Cheers

Can you advise what sensors are on inputs 1 thru 4, you should see RSSI etc

Henny,

Here is the list according to the capture attached on my first post:
1: R2BV 8.11V
2: R2Ba 0.00A
3: Cels 8.12V
4: RBCS OK
5: RBS Rx3 FS
6: RB1C 0mAh
7: RB2C 0mAH
8: RB1V 8.17V
9: RB1A 0.00A
10: RSSI 87dB
11: RxBt 8.0V
#5 is the one I don't understand with Rx3 FS being displayed. I don't think it's valid unless the RB10 is identifying Rx1 as Rx3 but even if it was the case, Rx1 is not in fail safe mode since perfectly working.

So sensor 10 is your main receiver signal strength for the receiver that has made the connection to the S-port (Telemetry) The second receiver has no return telemetry. Its only with the newer radios that have telemetry for both receivers. What version of OTX and RF firmware are you running.

Thanks for your help Henny,

Yes RSSI is giving me the indication of my signal strength on Rx1, I was hoping to have both Rx indications but I guess not; I can live with that.
I'm still not understanding sensor 5 showing Rx3 FS as when I disconnect Rx2, I can see sensor 5 showing Rx2 FS. Anyway using old transmitter probably doesn't help in this case.
Tx is an old X9D+ (2016) running OTX 2.3.13 with RF 2.1.0. The last RF version is 2.2 but was worried to lose the ability to use my receivers (Rx8R Pro, R-XSR, XM+, RX4R) that can only be updated to 2.1; I guess I could try to flash one to see if working?!
I think Access only can use telemetry on both Rx ?
I'll rely on RSSI, like I'll always did for signal indication.

Rx3 FS is a false indication of receiver 3 Fail safe. Which is both correct and not correct as it is really is a lack of signal which could be a fail safe.. The Rx8R pro latest RF firmware is v2.1.1 Your TX XJT firmware latest v2.1.0
The RF firmware is available from the FRsky web site here. https://www.frsky-rc.com/download/

That's the firmwares installed on both RX8R Pro and XJT in the X9D+
Corrected my previous post.
Thanks again for your clarifications.
