anyone use these?
im trying to flash the module with firmware - and im getting "Module refused data" when powered off the radio battery and "Module not responding" when powered off an external battery. these are new - i havent even used them yet.
FRSKY and the supplier neither have responded to me when i inquire for support

Not sure how long you have been waiting for a reply. But by your post history you haven't even waited 24 hours. The forums are one option for finding a solution to ones issue. It is hoped that those with experience can address your concerns faster and with a broader experience (knowledge )base. But they (the forums) are not the official path. Here Aloft only looks at the forums when they have finished all their other work.

Now to help all of us, it would be nice to know what version of firmware you are trying to upload (flash). Also what radio and firmware it is running. And it might be of value to know what computer OS you used to get the firmware.

The fact that you get two different error codes depending on the power source is interesting.

i got module Monday; i have been searching for answers sense then
Aloft said they don't have experience with it and to ask users here; i have already asked on RCForums.com and assorted Facebook groups i'm part of; sorry if i seem impatient but im stuck till this is resolved

OS: windows 10 Pro (background: im IT/network security arch; i know my way around a computer)
firmware version im attempting to flash: 171030; though iv tried all of them with the same result
radio: frsky Taranis x9d+
power sources: radio - stock NiCD battery; external - Giant Power 1500mAh 2s battery

i have not been able to gather any further information - as i cant find many sources of others using this system (probably thanks to the popularity of the crossfire system)

i have finally spoken to Aloft sales support - and they are going to exchange my module; so i hope the replacement will work as expected

Glad Aloft Hobbies was able to make contact with you and arrange an exchange.

I wasn't trying to imply that you didn't know your way around a computer. (I know I don't know a thing about code)! As you know the computer operating codes don't always allow proper transfer of data. I had issues with Cray Supercomputer and DOS. Then there is the issue with the non-floating point procesor.

This is why when I ask for help I try to give all the information I might have. It is amazzing how a simple clue can lead those in the know to pin point a problem.

All the best,
Konrad

understood; again apologies if i come off crass or short-tempered; its been almost 4 days of talking to as many people as i can get to listen to try to figure this issue out, and with the manufacturer and supplier at that time not responding as well, i was getting a little stressed. unfortunately i have found little data on this system, so there is no basis for comparison troubleshooting, and i was apprehensive to try more aggressive methods, as i didn't want o void any chance that i could simply exchange a faulty unit. so i was between a proverbial 'rock and a hard place'

If working with Aloft Hobbies, Wayne tries not to be ether the rock or the hard place. Although he is a solid pillar when it come to customer support. I know as I've been the source of a few "product problems".

All the best,
Konrad
