R-XSR legacy firmware?

I bought a R-xsr from Aloft to replace one that died in a crash. Can't get it to bind and suspect firmware issues. Tx is Taranis X9D running OpenTx 2.2. I am happy with it and want to keep it. But if I am reading it right, available firmware on the FrSky site for the R-XSR is not compatable with 2.2.x. Since the old R-XSR worked great it seems like I should be able to get the new one to bind if I have the correct firmware on it. Where can I find legacy firmware that will function with OpenTx 2.x.x? Please correct me if I my assumptions are wrong. Thank you for any replies.

The trick is to click on the word DOWNLOAD at the bottom of the firmware page on their site.
(History firmware DOWNLOAD (not compatible with v2.x.x))
This will start downloading the old firmware that you need.

Hey Chris. Thanks for the quick reply. I have downloaded and unzipped the folder and see the file RXSR_FCC_ACCST_191112.frk. Not sure how to proceed.

You will need the cable that came with the receiver.
Put the file into the Firmware folder on the radios SD Card.
Plug the receiver in to the smart port of the radio and run the file Burn it through the smart port.

I will show you how to flash Frsky receiver firmware on your R-XSR, XSR, D4R-II, X4R-SB, XM+ and some other RX. Updating RX firmware is useful when you have the wrong firmware that prevents you from binding, and getting the improvements and bug fixes in the latest firmware.

Just one thing to note is that ACCST v2.1.x has nothing to do with OpenTX on your radio. You can use ACCST v2.1.x with OpenTX 2.2.x if you prefer.

When you buy a receiver from us, if you know you need Version 1, just let us know and we can burn that for you before we ship.

We will have our new Uni-RX firmware out soon for this receiver and a lot of the remaining ACCST receivers. When that happens we should not have these issues anymore. Current;y in beta testing.

A small warning - I bought a couple of R-XSR and both of them have the included micro-socket to servo plug wiring the wrong way round to flash from my X9E. I only spotted this on the tenth or so reading to Oscar Liang's page mentioned above! The wiring needed to be red-black-signal rather than the 'normal' black-red-signal. Very confusing.

Yes, The cables are made for the smart port. All module bays are pinned different. Need to modify a male to male cable to flash through a module bay.
