questions before I put EthOS on X10

So I have the first generation Horus X10 and would like to try EthOS out on it, but questions I have are:
will D series RXs stop working? 'D8'
(edit .. found youtube video that explains two questions below in yellow, youtube.com/watch?v=BlljuOlK0s0 )
how to do the update? same as OpenTX?
can I use OpenTX companion still?
can you import existing models from OpenTX to EthOS?
can I revert back to OpenTX?

No Companion does not work with Ethos. Opentx and Companion are buddies, Ethos is a stand alone FRsky OS.

Your first gen X10 will need the ISRM module upgrade as far as I understand for it to function correctly, ACCESS and D16 protocols. Aloft has ISRM kits. Don't believe the D series receiver will work however if you install an XJT module in the module bay full support of D series will continue.

Yes you can revert back to opentx at any time. Just save your models before you dump Opentx.

hmm I have no interest in Access, I guess I will just leave it be with OpenTX.
