Question about XJT modules with access/accst modules or is XJT just D8 now?

I can get accst D16 receivers to bind when in accst D16 mode with access module but it won’t bind with a XJT module while in D16 mode.
Does XJT modules no longer bind with accst D16 receivers ?I can get my XJT module to bind with D8 but not D16.
I can see D16 isn’t needed on XJT if you have access but D16 is still an option with XJT modules?
What is D16 on XJT modules used for may be a better question?

Which radio are you using. The most likely cause is a mismatch between the receiver and transmitter firmware (XJT module). If your receiver and transmitter has the RF module firmware at v2.1.0 and the external module is at an older version will explain why you have this limitation. External module firmware is available on the FRsky download web site. Yes the external XJT module still fully supports D16 protocols. Flashing the external module is straight forward, however if you have other "X" series receivers with older firmware they will need reflashing to v2.1.X as well. The D8 protocols have not changed hence they still work.

Thanks,
I put pre 2.x on XJT and it bound right up.
I will put 2.x back on it because I use servos with D8.
Finally making sense.

It is not a bad idea to have ACCST V2.1 on the internal module and ACCST V1 on the external module. This will allow you to bind to receivers with either version of ACCST. :)

I didn’t realize my XJT had 2.x and once I flashed it to 1.x bound right up.
