Power Supply for X8R Receiver

I asked this question on another forum, just seeking as much info as possible.

Grateful for guidance on the options available to power the X8R receiver. I usually connect battery through switch to one of the 8 output channels. For this build I need all 8 output channels and don’t have a y-connector handy.

Is it OK to power the receiver through one of the other ports? If yes, which will work best?

Thanks

S-Bus Port not to be confused with S-Port (Smart-Port)!

Now the question is what is the anticipated amp load? Can your battery, BEC and servo bus handle the load? FrSky does have power distribution hardware if you so need it.

Thanks for responding Konrad. I will definitely look at using the S-Bus port.

The model will have six servos(2 aileron, 2 elevator, 1 rudder and 1 throttle) each of 145oz/in torque(not really high torque by today’s standards).

The other two channels will have TechAero IBEC and APS PowerFuel Pump. I believe the pump connection will primarily be for signal/control.

Dual A123 packs through BoomaRC Hidden Pin and Flag Switch will supply power.

Thanks again for your help.

If the ESC can handel the load what not using an ESC with 6v BEC??

The model will be running gas and not electric hence no ESC involved.

Appreciate the suggestion.
