Power draw on X9D original Taranis 7.2 volt battery

I have 7.2 volt NiMiHd in it. It is several years old with very little use in the last 5 yrs. I charged it to 8.4 volts with the in trans charger. I then turned the trans on and left it on. The voltage just 7.3 after being on for 5hrs and 15 minutes. Is this enough info to determine if is safe to fly with this battery. I never am in the air more than 1 hour per day
How much more power draw will there be when flying a plane with 4 std servos and a Taranis telemetry receiver?
I plan to get the new 2,600 MAH as soon as it is available, I'm on the waiting list. I plan to use a stand alone charger for the 2,600, what is the recommended chg and discharge rates for it?

I don't like to use the RF deck as a load sink. But as you get 5hr+ I don't see an issue. The TX power drain doesn't change as a function of the airplane power demands.

I test my batteries with a known load. If I get less than 80% of the rated capacity (mAh) I replace the battery.
