Does anyone have any experience with this build? I was wondering if the wing ships together in one piece or if it’s something that is removable for travel. Hows the flying on a slope?
It flies great in wind < 10 mph to 20 mph (and maybe above). It flies fast and flat, penetrating very well.
It can roll, if you keep the rolls fast. It struggles to fly inverted.
CG as specified in the instructions is conservative. With that CG, you can let Fritz soar high above and fly by itself.
Moving CG rearward would straighten the dive and make it more lively on slope. Too much rearward and you will have to watch out for sudden stalls and spins -- Little point for such risks, as Fritz does not like to fly inverted anyway.
If you keep CG in check, Fritz is stable in pitch. It is nimble and can make tight turns. It has good energy retention for loops. Overall, think it as a fast DLG.
Landing can be tricky. Fritz flies fast and flat and has no flaps. Fortunately, Fritz is made of lots of carbon and very strong.
