Paypal - Really? Again?

Paypal just sent me an email with great news... (for them)

They are raising our rates to a ridiculously high percentage rate. I really do not understand this company! They now charge more than Credit Card processing fees for a service that is much lower risk and much lower expense to operate. They are also raising the per transaction fee up to $.49 each. They really need a major competitor, and they should be banned from buying out any more competitors! (p.s. They own Venmo and they raised that to the same rate.)

Pretty sure we will be dropping them when our new site goes online. We can save you all money by not accepting paypal.

I'd like to thank those that go the extra steps to pay via Zelle. Thus far this has been great, and they charge NOTHING! Woohoo.. I'm sure that will change in time as it is owned by the biggest banks in the country.

I have seen a trend of paypal being accepted less and less on web sites.. This is why.

If you know of any decent competitors or other payment options you think we should look into, I'm all ears! Our new site will use the Shopify pay, and they are pretty darn easy for customers to use as so many people use them, they probably already know you, thus less data entry for the customer. :)
