Orbit Servo

Konrad

Very Strong User
Just saw these pop up on the Aloft site. To me a great selling point is the short pig tails. I'd like to see their length called out on the spec sheet.

On the Eras we set the length to be ideal for the Carbon Falcons as that is our primary use of this servo. Future wing servos will be as short as possible.

I love the Orbit Eris servos.
Useful compact size.
Strong enough for the six-aileron triplane.
Quiet for a digital servo.

I have installed them in a third plane, and have reordered to have them in stock for future projects.

I have mixed feelings about the short cables.
Great fit on the Fancy Foam 3DECATHLON, but I dunno whether to solder or install extensions on the RC Factory ZORRO wing.

BTW, I could use one or two more FrSKY V8R4-II receivers if anyone
has ones they are not using, perhaps having moved on to telemetry receivers.
New condition or known good used condition works for me.

This is just a starting point. More to come.
This is music to my ears.

My vote for the next Orbit Servo from Aloft: a powerful mini servo.
Something to match and replace the POWER UP AS3513NG analog plastic gear mini servo.
0.8 oz/23g, 48 in/oz 3,5 kg/cm at 4.8 volts. 35x28x15 mm. Apparently not made any more.
A very useful size for 2 meter and 100-inch glider fuselages.
Photos here show them mounted in Topmodel PRELUDE fuselage, 58 mm wide,
and Mounted in Airtronics Olympic-II fuselage 2.25 inches wide.

Yes, I know the Hitec HS-225 "Mighty Mini" competes in this category,
but at our level, we need and deserve something more reliable than the 225s.
