I have been helping a coworker get in to sloping and rc in general. I had him order a X9 Lite S from Aloft. I got him dialed with a wing I built. I was helping him set up the transmitter on break this morning. Then an all too familiar issue arose.
It seems like the newer access series transmitters have a servo bug when running 2.3.12. It causes servo movement to be super notchy and not linear at all! This is the OTX version that came on the X9 Lite S that I ordered and also the X9 Lite S that I just had my coworker order. Maybe there should be a note listed warning about this issue? I know common practice would be to update as soon as opening the package. If I had seen the preloaded aloft SD cards the first time around this would have recommended he ordered one with the tx! Dang lol
Thankfully with all the help I have been provided on here I was able to flash the new firmware for him. However this could be a really frustrating situation for somebody getting in to Frsky with out prior knowledge of this issue. I know it was for me! Especially with the awesome(very saracastic) support provided by FrSky. They couldn’t even provide 1/10 of the support found on this forum. Lol the first month of owning this TX was a nightmare until I figured out that there was bug!
I just figured I would share in case anyone else runs in to this issue, it looks like there may be a couple new Frsky users in here.
