New to FrSky

I just picked up an X18
I'm looking at the Micro receivers for a profile foamie. I can't tell if they have standard servo ports.
I'm adding a 4 in 1 module to add my Spektrum stuff.
Should I stick to FrSky receivers moving forward? Or any brand with the module.
Thanks for your advice.

Yes FRsky has a few options. The "ACCESS" protocols are FRsky only so any other brand receivers wont work. And yes the servo outputs are standard 1 to 2 mili second ports just like all the other radio manufacture's. FRsky also offer high speed option for digital servos. Using the X18 rear module could work for you but requires additional stuffing around to make it work and to be honest the FRsky receivers are the best and the rear module means you don't have Telemetry. You could always use the FRsky Tandem receivers which operate on 2.4g and 900meg at the same time to give you very long range up to 10 km.

I think he is asking about the new micro receivers like this one:

There is no great standardization of plugs once you jump into the micros. FrSky was friendly and picked the JST 1mm pitch plugs, and include adapters for the 1.2mm plugs just in case. We will be stocking some micro servos with the 1mm plugs soon. You can also remove the plugs and solder direct.

As for using Spektrum stuff, sure you can do that with the multi modules, and that might be a budget friendly option if you already have a bunch of their receivers. But it would be nice to have the added FrSky features by using their receivers.

Thank you for the advice. I may skip the module, continue using my DX9 with my Spektrum equipment. And moving forward I'll use FrSky receivers with my X18
