No that kits doesn't come with sensor... you need to use the sensor from your original gimbal just open and remove to replace everything is in the manual guide

Wayne/Rafael;
1. I wish to have my X10s express TX home made Single Stick which has the Open TX OS, Changed to Ethos OS, and upgraded to the latest version.
This is to then allow installing the components into my new single stick kit.
2. I also need the Internal antennae for my new Single Stick build kit.
3. Can you also look at the 3rd axis stick on the above TX and tell me if is the correct one (digital)?
4. Does it matter which gimbal (left or right) I use in the SS Kit? I assume the R.H. gimbal.
5. How should I package the TX to ship it to you?

I spoke with Wayne. Since we no longer do this type of work here at the company, I suggested that I could do it for you in my own time at home, and he agreed. If you’re interested, we can discuss the pricing via inbox, and then you could send the materials to us here if you’re willing to proceed. However, you’ll need to treat and paint the plywood panels before shipping them, as that work is outside my expertise. What I offer is the assembly and delivery of the radio fully assembled and updated with the supported OS for you.

R: honestly i don't remember anymore what is the OS its running. i remember using Open TX,
@Wayne do you remember what's the OS this radio is capable?

2. I also need the Internal antennae for my new Single Stick build kit.
R: yes we can include it in the package.

R: yes i can do that too

R: usually i we the throttle gimbal to disassemble and reassemble in the kit.

5. How should I package the TX to ship it to you?
R: make a comfy box with a lot bubble wrap so its not get damaged.

He got the upgrade board, so once that is installed it should be able to go up to a special version of Ethos that is for the old X10 with the upgrade board. You have to be careful to select the special version.

I bought the last one in stock on August 29.

I swapped in my old sensor and it's all working now. Yay!!! All done. Thank you RafaelAvila and Wayne for all your help! Yay!!!

So for the people who needs the 3rd-axis gimbal:
  • If the gimbal for your particular transmitter is not in stock, just order a random one in stock. You might be in luck and get the one you actually need.
  • If not, just swap in the old sensor from your donor transmitter.
;)
OK - FWIW - finally getting around to working on my Single Stick kit. I'm still muddling through the disassembly of the X10S trying one thing at a time to minimize the variables in (potential) debugging. I first took out the existing Hall Effect sensor from the throttle stick and installed it in the new side lever assembly first before further disassembly of the X10S to make sure I could get that working correctly. It took me a while before I realized that the magnet for the Hall Effect sensor was already embedded in the 3D printed throttle lever. It would have been nice if some stuff like this had been included in the assembly manual - I'll probably end up compiling a set of notes in case there are any more kits out there in the wild that haven't yet been assembled.

I next tried wiring the X10S third axis gimbal into the harness and ran into the same issue as Haoyang with the "jumpy" gimbals in calibration. I bought the gimbal earlier this year (from HorusRC via Amazon) and it seems it also has the "M9Lite L-V2" Hall Effect sensor. Pulling the rudder sensor from my original gimbal plus a little mod of the plastic frame in the third axis gimbal works - now to solder everything back up again!

Things are generally going together well after seeing the hint that untwisting some of the wires provides additional slack to allow some of the cables to reach for some of the components in their new locations (e.g. the speaker). However, my external antenna connector is still about 1cm too short to reach the RF board:

Any hints to get this to work, or do I need a different external antenna cable?

Also, are there any downsides for me to put the internal patch antennas on the front face (per the picture above) instead of the top panel (where I'm trying to mount four switches, two on either side of the external antenna)?
