Hi Guys - has anyone seen these before?

They come with an alternative backplate for screwing to a bulkhead etc.

Yep - just like a conventional switch - except unconventional. Uses solid state.

I had a flyaway once - (which unbelievably flew back to me and landed in a tree 20 feet away with no damage!) due to a an old type switch that had corroded inside.
It's dangerous those old ones are, Leery I am.Unknown.jpeg

Doc.

I'm not 100% sold Tex. But I do have to admit I'm not used to using them yet.

I have a Zepsus unit that I'm going put in my Supersport Corsa that I'm doing now, and we'll see.

Still a bit leery...

Cheers,

Doc.

Just ordered this one from aloft.
Might could be used for the rx maybe too.
I need an optikill and it fits the bull for that. But, set as a switch on your tans it should be able to shut off the reciever. Battery power is battery power.
But for gliders you using the zepsus nano?

Yup. Lots of choices.

There's something to be said about the old style 2 position type. Reliable (depending on where sourced and how abused), and easy to disgnose/replace.

Hey doc, maybe you can help an old Texan to understand these new fangled radio things...

I'm getting lost in the various explanations of how to use the Archer M+ as a redundant reciever.
Say I have an Archer SR as primary and I want to use an m+ or two m+ as redundant. I understand, kind of, that the x20 binds to the SR on 2.4 ghz and the m+ on 900 mhz, What I'm getting list on is how the physical connection is made to the archer SR. The details here says that the m+ can firmware update wirelessly..ok..does that mean it's also connecting via 900 mhz to the SR? If so, then how in the world do you power the little sucker.
I know the mustang has accommodations for 2 redundant recievers built into the fuselage (minus hook and loop, but yeah) I'm just not sure of the wiring needed to set them up.
I know there has to be some type of connection between them, there's there's no servo control if loss of signal to the primary.
I figure with some of the wing flexing you do with them sneeze on it, it breaks, ( :D)birds you fly, you might be using one back towards the tails somewhere.
Can you enlighten me?
