Neuron 60 ESC - Unable to program with BLHeli

Byeplane

New User
I tried the Neuron because of the built in telemetry features but I'm stuck with the computer not seeing the driver in the BLHeli Suite 32.9.0.1 [FC-4way @...] I've gone back and downloaded the other BLHeli Suite32 32.8.1.2 [USB/Com...] but not the driver. It appears that the PC does see the UART Bridge controller but can't connect without the driver. Anyone succesfull at programming this ESC?

If it shows up in the device manager it should be a simple driver issue somewhere, or an incorrect com port on BLHeli. I'll take a look tomorrow if I remember

From when I had issues connecting I remember there being some settings that needed selecting on BLHeli

Yes I heard that also and it referred to the SelectBLHeli_32 Interface and in the pull down menu there are three options (4way-if),(USB/COM) and (Betaflight&Cleanflight). Non of which made any difference. The other problem is I cannot enter a COM port at the bottom of the screen which also has a pull down but with no options given. When I then press some of the other buttons this error message appears.
Error

Connection to BLHeli Bootloader at ... failed!

Please check usb/serial port settings!

Brinsomr, No I didn’t but I did send the BLHeli—32 with Neuron escape to the tech department to check out the hardware, I have not heard back from them. When I do I will post their findings. Ed

Byplane. Did you get the BLHeli to work? I'm having the same problem.
I ordered A new Neuron escape and got it to work. The error message about a missing driver was correct. I went to Github and downloaded BLHeli-Configurator1.2.0 and installed it. i then opened the BLHeli Configurator App. That opens a black and purple app window where you can get a link in the bottom left corner for the CP210x Drivers, I picked the Universal driver for Windows-32. I extracted that and installed it in the Blheli Configurator FOLDER. Then when I open the BLHeli configurator application the lights on the USB linker light up and then I just had to mess around for the correct COM port. I would have liked to include the relevant screen shots but that is still located on my dark side.

I have a similar issue, my frsky usb adapter lights don't show up. I can't detect any neuron esc and it only shows me com1 port. I can hear the computer making a sound when I plug the usd adapter in though so something is happening. I tried the above to no success. I really wish it was so much easier for a non-nerd like me

Well after several days of trying out things I finally managed to get it to work. What became apparent was that none of the lights on the USB adapter were flashing, so there was an issue with the computer not recognizing the adapter. I went in the windows device manager and indeed the adapter was showing up in the "other devices" category and windows didn't have a driver for it. I searched the internet, fount the right driver (search for CP210 usd to uart driver), downloaded it, extracted it (I made the mistake of not extracting it initially and then it won't work) and finally ran the manual installation of the device as windows didn't want to do it automatically. Once that was done, I unplugged the USB adapter, plugged it back in and magic...the red led turned on. I connected the esc using bheli, switched the com port which says CP210x....and I was finally able to connect to my esc.
Quite proud of myself, not bad for a non-geek...maybe I am turning geek!
