MU32 the Next completely new project from Aeroic.

Doc J

Very Strong User
Hi Guys, as many of you know I have spent quite a lot of time and more moment recently trying to re-invent and improve all of my old models after the theft of the original moulds by S.F. Zhou in China.

So far we have:

Schwing Corsa II 108" (New moulds almost finished)
Stormbird Forza 100" (Test flying very soon)
Firebird 60" (Test flying very soon)
Gremlin II 60" (New moulds almost finished)
Apart from some great aerodynamic improvements, plus some practical assembly changes that have been suggested by many of you, now all of them also have electric versions PLUS the super strong layup WMD version.

So to give a wider choice than ever before, very soon all of my models will be available in S version (Slope sport) WMD version (Super strong slope)or E Version (Electric)

But hold on - I have not spent all my time revamping my original designs, I have also been busy collaborating on some new ones.

The next really exciting project will be the 100' MU32 a purposely designed sailplane by the students of Akaflieg Munchen.
This will be my first scale model with only the wing sections different from the full sized version.

Wayne had mentioned this before, but since then there have been even more new and exciting developments that have come from some close cooperation with other designers.

Intended as a slope sale model, the plane is nevertheless designed for slope aerobatics with a selection of very special aerofoils put together by the famous designer and aerodynamicist Philip Kolb. CAD design has been done but Martin Stobbe who is one of th best CAD engineers I have even known.

This should be a beauty - completely scale, yet fully aerobatic with no compromises.

Cheers,

Doc.

Not by 2020, but maybe 2021 if the ticker allows it.

Wait! Let us know what the ball park price will be once you have a better idea of all the costs associated with this new scale model.

Do I detect a glimmer of hope for this one?
Coming in mid-2024, Red.

I think this one could be a real full scale, fully aerobatic model, and at 4M span it will have the lift/inertia potential to do almost anything, but not too large as to need trailers and armies of launchers etc.

The CAD drawing is fully to scale, though I have taken a bit of liberty with the aerofoils for obvious reasons. But, for the detail minded modeller this plane will present the opportunity to make a really detailed full scale model - but with all the flight potential of a big dedicated slope aerobatic airframe.

Loads of appropriate cockpit details and scale pilotry around in Europe these days, and the model will have the option of a clear canopy to show it off.

Loads of scale models around of course, even at this size, but I cant find any with the exciting flight potential that this one will have.
Normally the big (or small) scalies have some kind of compromise as on the full size (And some of the Euro models are not far off full size!) originals they were actually designed for gliding rather than aerobatics, and so for a slope plane were in my eyes at least compromised before pen was put to paper. Very few actually do crisp aerobatics.

Needless to say, I'm doing something diffefrent.:cool:

Watch this space.

Cheers,

Doc.
