Motor recommendation for e-typhoon?

Hello. I have a RCRCM typhoon sloper and I have recently acquired an electric fuse for it. I plan on using either 3S or 4S power, haven't decided yet. It has a 32mm firewall. Recommended motors from sUSA for good performance are in the $300 range. Can anyone recommend a motor for this airplane for a more reasonable price? Its a 2m glider, I'm looking for "warmliner" performance, I want to climb very steeply for a few hundred feet in bursts, no need to scream. Thanks.

When I designed the model, the recommended motor I was given to work with was a Hacker as I remember - but it was a long time ago. Even though I designed the pure glider and electric Typhoon versions, I have never flown the E version, so sorry not to be more help.

Doc.

Here is the motor we suggest for the sister ship we sell, the Alpha 2. (Same wing as your plane.)
