Moderator action

Konrad

Very Strong User
Is there a way to let a poster automatically know of moderator action?

All the best,
Konrad

Good morning Konrad! I don’t frankly know off the top of my head.. in my experience though, about 90-95% of posts ending in the moderation queue are from spammers like the two I just removed.. most legit peeps here will not get moderated for very long before the restriction is lifted

I'm not question the reason for the moderator action.

I think in a thread I posted a snide remark about RCG saying that this great forum is NOT like RCG. I also hinted that posting photos might be difficult at first and that not everybody has access to photos in a digital format. (It might be hard to believe that not everybody has a cell phone. Or a cell phone with a working camera).

That would have been my post #35

There is also the possibility my post never posted.

All the best,
Konrad

I occasionally will remove a posting from the site if it is off topic or is a repeat of something you have already discussed. I can leave the alerts on for your posts if you like. You do tend to get my axe more than others as you do post a lot. I do it very little!

I'm sure it is just a rate issue.

So the issue was with my jab at RCG or that I stated not everyone has the ability to post pictures?

I have no issues with moderation. I just like to know the whys.

All the best,
Konrad

Just the RCG jab, and it wasn't on topic. I don't think that post I deleted had anything else in it other then the one flame.

Anyone can post a photo. We only automatically force moderation when a new member tries to post a link. This will be sent for review as most of our spammers do this. Keeps the spammers at bay.

My jab was, "LOL, this form is not like RCG."

I wasn't commenting of the posting privilege of new members. Rather than not everybody has access to a digital photo to post. For example the flip phone might not have a working camera.

I was responding the internet motto: Pics or it didn't happen. We are not like RCG, in that we (I) place greater value on the thought process. Not on ones ability to manipulate photos in photo shop to communicate ideas.

Can the moderator put a note in the post like post edited (moderated) for XYZ (Off Topic, Fool Language, Personal Attack, etc.)?
