Here's a happy day.
My new and improved MINI WANDERER spars arrived the same day I finished the fuselage.
Now to build the wing.
We already know how well this plane flys, so no worries there.

Got the wing framed up.
AND HERE'S WHAT I LEARNED FROM THE BUILD INSTRUCTIONS:
Masking tape to protect the ribs when shaping the leading edges.
Worked great. Thank you Red, and Aloft crew.

We're thinking to remove the holes since its doesn't take much weight away. Only 2 grams, thanks Conrad for the heads up.

As I was building I was thinking it would be good to remove the innermost hole, or maybe the innermost five holes.
Decision on keeping or eliminating the rest will be up to the designers and testers.

I say the the MINI WANDERER flys as good as it looks.

Looks great! What a nice green background. Things are turning brown here already.

Do you have washout in the wing tips? If so, I suggest removing it, she will fly even better!

I did not even check that. Incomplete work on my part.
I'll check and remedy if needed.

Have you guys been notching the bottom of the spar to accommodate the 1/16 sheeting, or are you cutting a channel in the sheeting?

You will need to cut the sheeting. I think they did that for the little extra strength of the basswood spar. The instructions need updating...

Yes, please do not notch the spars. It is far easier and stronger to cut the decking to fit.
