Mini Q

Just started flying my mini Q. Super fun on the slope. Used kst 08h for little extra torque. Threw in elevator compensation on throttle stick to trim at speed. Otherwise the faster it fly’s the more it pulls up on its own. This substantially increases speed envelope. Came out 12.8 oz. The tail is fragile especially on landing. Work and trim to get a proper fit then reinforce top and bottom with clear packing tape where it meets fuse. Great fun and reasonable price. There are a bunch of them flying at The Point of the Mountain in Utah. Super fun with a gaggle of them ripping around. Ted
We finally took a couple mini Q’s to Weldon. Stock builds. I went 138 fairly easily. My buddies let go on the epoxy glue joint around 140. Wings got really flex. He re epoxied them and went 161 the following day. These little birds rip but do need some reinforcement. Very little drag and the really accelerate well. Bit of a handful over 100 but super fun.

I'm running this setup on mine Motor AT2217 8T,1100kv 200W. Prop is Aeronaut cam carbon folder 8x7,4s 650 lipo. Flight times around 3 -4 minutes, using the throttle for short periods.i may change the battery to a li-ion 4s1p 18650 for better flight times.
I fly at a flat field and also at the slope.
