I was going to say, I usually get them as close as I can and then adjust the subtrims to dial in the final bit. It should be a small correction. If it is big, then go back and adjust the horn again. I use a FrSky radio, and should the plane have a geometry issue, or even unmatched servos or brands of servos I can dial in the mix to make them preform identically. So I have become a little used to that for older planes. For new planes I do my best to get the geometry perfect mirror images. Thanks ? I managed to get it closer. What little variance is left, I can fix in my radio.
I’m using the X08+ servos.
Who knows, maybe what little I sand will be enough to get that famous Comp ARF whistle that I love. ?
Good catch. The X08+ is much taller than the standard X08. The X08 is plenty strong for the elevator.
Am I reading and seeing that correctly, that nice epoxy fillet is on top of a sticker? With my landing that won't work as the sticker will peel away from the tray allowing the servo tray to move around....
I applied a patch of "carbon look" sticker to the servo tray.
Total build time about 2 hours so far.
I'm never shy about sanding on gap seals of this type. I want to make sure they can not grab and get stuck, and many planes will need some sanding to get go travel for the flight surfaces.
Now for noise, if you want the noise, just bust out all of the gap seals. A local pilot does this as he had lost a few high dollar planes to stuck gap seals over the years. He just does not trust them anymore. Anyhow, his planes make the best noises!! Yes, he gives up a tiny bit of speed, but the glorious noises!! LOL

Thought I’d post up a short video of the first servo flap travel I got out of the Magnus with a full KST X10 servo and 4-40 Clevises. I am sure most of you got this just as far, I just haven’t seen anyone post their flap travel yet. I purposely want only down in my flaps, I not trying to use full span ailerons.
That's more travel than I was able to get out of the X08+ with arms that fit under the servo covers. I'll post a pic of my full throw the next time I plug in the battery.Thought I’d post up a short video of the first servo flap travel I got out of the Magnus with a full KST X10 servo and 4-40 Clevises. Dice do you have the servo over centered in the up position? That is what all the cool DS kids do.
Yup, they are offset.Assuming you're using the crossover method-Offset the flap servo arms forward to the LE by 20 degrees.
