Lunchtime Fun

We generally have a good time at Aloft, and when the weather permits we tend to break out the RC toys and give them some exercise. Thought it would be fun to share some videos of our fun times. These will be quick and dirty editing to get them out fast. Hope you enjoy. :)

Here's our first installment:

Fun fact from Ed (our local PhD color space guru) the the yellow sub is always blurry in videos as the yellow channel is highly compressed in video. I kept thinking I had a dirty lens.

Curious - Do you guys think these videos have any interest to others? I know they are pretty basic things, just showing us having some fun for the most part.

Should we keep them coming?

Maybe some longer format with a story to tell?

Love them - but you'll make people jealous with a flyable backyard.

Great fun!

Doc.

I’ve enjoyed the videos. My preference is for shorter videos. If you do make more technical videos I would argue to make them short and specific. A video on catching a thermal is one and checking the cg another but they can be filmed on the same day.

When we go to events like Sunset, I was thinking we might record some interviews with folks.

I'd like to promote slope flying and encourage folks to give it a try. Show a range of different slopes and the types of planes. Maybe a little DS training from Tebo. Those sorts of things. Those would all be a little more dedicated.

I would like this a lot. I haven't found much that's educational RE sloping and plane types.

Completely enjoying them. Short, nice content. I get bored sometimes on longer videos with planes just going back and forth. IRL, that’s awesome, in videos…not so much.
