There is a 6.6volt Spektrum LiFe that's pretty light on Amazon..... Also, might want to bring some ballast just in case!Ihavehad my Alula finished and ready to roll, but I killed the stupid little batteryIf anyone has one of the 4 cell 300mah NiMh packs I could buy at the event, that would be awesome.

@thenated0g is that the Venom 850mA ? I have used them before, but they quit selling on Amazon. Also heard some having issues with them (none at my end..)

Yes i have purchased them from Amain hobbies online (chico, ca). I have 4 or 5 of them so far. I like them as you can leave them fully charged (unlike lipo) and you dont have to maintain them thru the year like nimh if you are not using them.

I'm not sure how factual this is, but we had a battery manufacturer contact us a a month or two ago about buying a bunch of Venom packs they had produced, they were sitting on a lot of inventory as they said Venom was out of business.
We had a lot of this when Hobico went out of business. They left a ton of manufacturers sitting on inventory.

Coming off 5, take 152 east towards Los Banos, right on Volta, left on pioneer, right on Canyon.
From downtown Los Banos, left on Ortagalita, right on Sunset, left on Canyon. Turn right where it says pay fee. Pay fee. Come back up the hill, turn right, flying site is first gate on the left. Follow until you see the porta potty. park by the potty, remove plane from car, turn plane and radio on, check throws, toss plane off hill.

Awesome day at Los Banos today! Winds were as high as 35mph at 10:30am and calmed to 20mph-ish which created some exciting flights!! I have a lot of photos and short videos of you want them Wayne for your site. Just let me know where to send them. Thanks for a great “Impromptu” event!!

Well, it was epic. Sat morning I arrived and it was blowing 30+, so I was ripping my PSS Hawk. It backed off to about 15-20 mid day so I flew everything else. I was anxious to try my Ahi with the 4D Tx set up and it did not disappoint! Wow what a great little airplane. I was able to flat spin it into the landing zone and managed a few inverted hand catches, what a riot. Today was colder and different direction, so the group was scattered over 3-4 sites. Sadly, I'm an idiot and didn't take any pics, but I would bet there were at least 50 pilots on Sat, a little lighter today.
