Los Banos - Fun day or camp trip?

In the Sunset thread we were discussing the idea of an event at Los Banos. This is a very wide open area that can have some amazing slope lift for our gliders.
Here is a map link to the general area. Sometimes you need to move around the edge of the lake to get the best wind direction.

Across the lake is some camping, and rumor has it there are motels and other options in town.

I heard that they will let people stay overnite next to the slope for a event like the aero tow event that's sometimes held there in April as a group.. It would be great if we could do that! I could fly from the comforts on my campers roof!

It would be great if we could stay overnight right next to the LZ. I hope something like that can be arranged with them.

Yes, that would be nice. Anyone want to make a call and confirm? Or we could team up with one of the other Banos meets, I think there are 2 there a year for scale ships.
