Local flying question in South Bay

Hi all, I moved to the bay area 4 years ago from Ottawa in Canada. Back there, I was part of a couple of clubs but also could fly smaller planes and small heli's in the local baseball diamond/soccer field.

Now I'm living in Los Gatos and trying to get back into flying again and was wondering what's the normal flying practice around here? Any clubs you recommend? Can I fly tiny planes/helis in the local field (UMX class)?

Land is not as plentiful here... but the weather is a good 500 times better.

While I am not an expert on flying sites near Los Gatos, I do think there are a number of good flying sites near there. If nothing else there are guys that fly in some of the parks in the area.

Generally speaking you shouldn't get into any trouble flying small park flyers at a local school or park. Generally if they have any issues with you flying there, they will simply ask you to leave. Perhaps some of the folks will pipe up with some locals for you to fly with.
