KST HS08

Ahh, that explains the lack of data sheet. These were ordered before they had them listed on their site. And I never noticed the download links. :)

Thanks!

I found another servo that could fit in the discussed servo spectrum of slim&light and from F3K up to bigger thermal ships:

Anybody missed this brand on the target-item?

Don't know, looks like a different servo brand and they look to have an issue with their web master. I can't get the video to load with Safari or Google.

It is embedded in a YOUku platform. Maybe it is not with proper access to your browser.

Edit #45 it is ultra thin with 6mm without motor, but 9g on the scale. The motor has a diameter of 7mm.

Chris, my experience with the KingMax brand has been less than stelar. As this is a different product I'd like to see you start another thread on these servos.

As to the link I assume you mean You Tube. If you can give us a direct link maybe somebody can answer your questions about the testing methodology

I have to questing the use of a small gearbox (6mm) when the motor defines the servo thickness (7mm). Sounds to me like an engineering failure. (Lost opportunity for a stronger gear train without a space penalty.

We have tested the Kingmax brand and chatted with their staff several times. They don't cut the mustard for our needs. I did find a use for some of the samples we brought in:

I didn't want to throw them away, but didn't trust them for a good airframe. Some other companies like them enough that they have put their names on them and charge KST prices. LOL Reality is their pricing is too high for the quality and performance delivered and their engineering staff didn't seem to be on par.

We have found a good company we will be working with in the future to introduce a new line of servos. While their product does not match the performance of KST, it is darn close and they have very good build quality and knowledgable staff. That is a company I can work with. Trust me, no one knows about this new company. :)

I like that the staff is knowing what is and is not for sale. KST must be close to the MKS leader on the market while the others fill the price gaps that has to be there on a free market with all their duties.. ?
Thx Wayne n Konrad

It is rare for a company to sell both of these top quality brands side by side. I'm not allowed to publicly comment on KST compared to MKS as part of my deal with MKS. I think it is safe to say that they are both top quality and a great choice when you need the best.

I'm starting to set up a new Doroshinko Edge F5J glider. I want to use HS08 servos for the flaps, but need a servo tray w/bushing.
Aloft sells a "Blue External Bushing Servo Tray for KST X08 & 245". Will the HS08 (and possibly X08+???) servos also fit in this frame?
Thanks, - Mike
