That's the way they label their servos so I would suspect 6 mm width. Is this aimed at the 1 meter ships? Does the "6" signify 6 grams or 6mm width? I would love to see a 6mm thick servo in the quality of KST!
I saw boxes and boxes of KST stuff.
I'm sure Wayne hates it when I post stuff that isn't up on the site yet*. I do this just in case somebody is about to place an order with a firm that might not be as ethical as Aloft Hobbies.
I need to be clear that when I said the HSO8 wasn't rated for 2 lipos I wasn't saying they can't be used with 2 lipo. Just that the spec sheet didn't show any performance ratings for 8.4V (dual lipo)
*But then Wayne often tells us he has inventory that is up on the site.
All the best,
Konrad
Ok they've landed at Aloft. The HSO8 will go into my second Aeroic Redshift as aileron servos. The XO6 will go into my Stika F5K (1.5m electric DLG). And my 1meter DLG Hawk.
The XO6 is a bit odd looking as the feedback pot is flush with the case (black rectangle). Good news is the spline looks and feels the same on the XO6 as it does on the XO8.
The HSO8 is a bit of a mixed bag, It has gained weight 11g vs 9g for the XO8+. On a single cell it really takes a hit with an advertised speed of 0.21 sec/60° vs the XO8+ 0,18 sec/60°. At 6v and 7.4 volts it is rated as being faster and stronger than the XO8+. It also appear to not be rated for two lipos (8.4V). The motor appears to be a larger diameter all be it a bit shorter. It does appear to just fit most trays. If retro fitting make sure no epoxy fillets are near the lower web (inside) of the tray.
