Looking forward to the ISR this weekend. Couple of the guys from the shop will be joining in Sportsman class. A great way to learn a ton.

Konrad - Great job with the line work!! You were a beast out there in the cold manning your station. Not a bad seat for the races, huh?
I highly encourage any glider pilots in the area to come out next year and give the Sportsmans class a try. You get a lot of great help and advise that is truly priceless IMHO. You don't need a fancy plane for Sportsman, just a willingness. I can guarantee the experience packed into just 2 days will alter your perspective on flying. Davenport is a tricky place to fly, and you are staying very busy during the race, but it is just so different than anything else I have done with gliders. It is a must-do event and should be on every slope pilots Bucket List!

Yes, it was work! And yes it was one of the best seats in the joint. Well, worth the effort! And the drawing prizes by vendors like you and maufactures like Hammond were icing on the cake!
Even as a non-pilot I learned a lot about the F3F gliders and F3F racing (more or less) at ISR.
As an experianced racer in another disipline (FAI F3D) it was a pleasure to see how fast the sportsman pilots were improving with each heat.
I don't know how tricky Danven port normaly is, but normaly I'd think it would be a world class site if the wind came from the west. This year most of the racing was with the winds coming out of the north. And yes this was tricky, lots of wind and little lift. Great leasons to be had in ballasting!

I do have the grey one we were flying. Can give you a deal on it if you are interested. They are a good flying plane that carries the energy very well.
