I need a counter in Ethos 1.5.15

Gents, I need to build a counter to produce a series of channel controls. I watched a promising video from FrSky showing a Trim mix, from which this gentleman created a counter. The bad news are that the video is one year old, and that version 1.5.15 does not have that mix, and I cannot find if the mix was integrated somewhere else.
Is there anyone that has already created a counter with the current version?
I am able to make a quasi-counter using VARs but that gives me a number in %, which doesn't help too much.
Thanks a lot

It is probably just me, but I don't understand what it is you are looking for. Could you elaborate on what you are looking for? Maybe a link to the video you mentioned?

Sorry for not being accurate in my needs. The objective is to count the number of times a given Logical Switch is activated in a flight, for example, how many times the minimum cell dropped a set voltage in a flight. Here is the video link:
.
FYI: there is a pending enhancement (from long ago) to allow for non-percentage values in the VARs, but when that is done, it is hard to say.

Vars have the ability to count, and here is a screenshot of that:

Then you just need your logical switch to trigger it. The important thing here is that the switch cannot stay on, because this counter will continue to count as long as the switch is on. I made an Edge switch like so.

Yes. I tried that, but still, I have the value in %, not in units. Anyways, the method you described seems to be the only way with the current Rev.
Thank you for taking a look at my request.

Ha! I watched the rest of your video and we were not finished. So you need to create a new free mix, and use the Var as the source and then send that to a channel, any channel. Then go to the Telemetry page and create a calculated sensor and use Custom for the formula. The only difference I found between the newer OS and the one in your video is that I needed to divide the sensor by 10 like so:

Ignore the "Reset" item as that doesn't do anything. After doing this, I get a good counter. Here is a view of original percentage value and the new sensor display.

Even when you get a count what will you do with the info. How is it useful as it is all after the fact. I would consider using the Zavionix widget and get live updates of cell voltage.

What was interesting to me was that the dude in the video was using a custom sensor as a value converter. I never thought of that.
