how to fix an x lite pro antenna warning

Skitter

New User
Hi, went to set up the XJT module on my x lite pro and couldn't get it to work. But my main problem is I'm getting a " antenna error warning" now.
If I pull the rubber plug and screw an antenna on the warning stops. What the heck happened and how do I fix it?
Thanks

I'm not aware if the Xlite pro has an internal antenna, if not you need to install the antenna to get it to work correctly. In the model setup near the binding function it may say select internal or external antenna.

In the model settings, below the bind and range check stuff somewhere, I think it was called Options, the external antenna is checked. Uncheck it and you should be fine.

The X lite has a very good internal antenna. The external antenna does help, but is not needed for typical flying. As said above, adjust your settings to just the internal if that is the antenna you intend to use. Hopefully you did not run it long without the external antenna with that setting on, it can damage the RF chip very quickly. I suggest you do a range check before your next flight just to make sure all is good.

Running without an antenna does damage to the RF chip and results in less and less range. Antenna warnings should be taken seriously.
