I'm looking at the baby Taranises TX and wondering how can I tell what model I'm looking at? I see no nomenclature or model badges on the case to differentiate the long list of various models. So, if my fellow hobbyist is trying to sell me a used X9-lite how do I know what he is selling? More to the point how do I know what I'm buying!
In the good old days I could see if the X9D was an X9D of X9D+ by looking as the face plate. Also there was a tag in the RF bay which detailed what the TX was.
Today how is a customer to know what model TX he is dealing with. Is there a P/N or S/N that a customer can read to tell what he has. If so is there a chart (decoder ring)telling us what the # might mean.
I can see where this is a horror, not only for the customer but for parts sales and the repair facility.

I love OpenTX but every time I dig a bit deeper into FrSky engineering and customer support I come back a bit more disillusioned.

All the best,

P.S.
Yikes, even the big Taranis is missing any identifiers on the face plate or anywhere on the outside of the TX. I think I see a QR tag in the RF bay. I can only hope that has some information attached to it. But is the QR data available to the customer?
