Horus X10S Express

New User
I just ordered a HORUS X10S Express, sd card with files on it and the Horus X10 S book from Aloft, delivery next week.
I have an older X9d+ with open tx 2.3.7 and companion, so I'm somewhat familiar.
My question is and I've been digging through the forums is about the ISRM update.
1) Does it have to be updated before installing opentx?
2) is the ISRM update 2.1.0 working now?
I haven't updated my x9d+ or receivers to ACCST 2.1.0 yet, doing that this weekend, but before I do, I want to make sure update for Horus is good to go. Don't want to update my receivers if Horus X10S Express will be buggy with ISRM 2.1.0.

OTX upgrade is independent to the RF module upgrade. I have the X10s on OTX2.3.7 and RF v2.1.0 and am very happy with all the fixes so far. There is still some cleanup work happening with G-RX8, S8R, S6R and XM series receivers. So RF v2.1.0 requires the transmitter and receiver to be at the same revision level, if you upgrade any current receivers they will need to be re bound once upgraded. So if you upgrade your receivers you will have to upgrade your X9D+ to RF v2.1.0 as well. My X10s arrived with RF v1.1.3 which suffers from telemetry lost and some other issues. My X10s also indicated it had a defective antenna when using D16 protocols. I have commited to ACCESS and presently have not detected any issues with the new RF v2.1.0 firmware. This means however that some of the older X series receivers do not support ACCESS. You can of course run D16 and ACCESS with you X10S and this is selected when you are binding. All upgrade released firmware is available on the FRsky web site in the download section. There will be future additions to the Express radios in the future and this is one of the strengths of FRsky as you can update or not. I love my Horus X10S Express its a great radio..

Thanks, I have x8r's now. So I'll be using Horus X10S Express on ACCST for now untill the Archer series receivers come out especially for my jet. Archer 10 channel receiver would be perfect for my needs when it does come out.

RF firmware D16 (ACCST) v2.1.0 for the X8R is available on the FRsky web site.

Yeah, thanks. I wanted to make sure that updating both transmitters and my X8R receivers to 2.1.0 were stable now before I update them. Appreciate it, there is a lot of info on X9D+, but not on Horus X10s Express with the ISRM.

Its because the X9D+ has a lot of history attached to it. The Express is still a new product.
