Has anyone dispalyed and logged ESC telemetry values (RPM, voltage, amps, temps) from a HobbyWing V4 ESC to a FrSky receiver via s-port and a HobbyWing 30850503 telemetry adapter?
Looks like you will probably need the LCD Programmer to set the protocol to FrSky. It does not say what FrSky protocol it is supporting, but guessing Smart Port.
Thanks for your input, Wayne. I have ordered the LCD programmer along with a new SeaKing 120 amp V4 ESC and two HW 0850503 telemetry adapters. I've been waiting 2+ years to come up with a brushless motor RPM sensor alternative since FrSky stop making them. Since I use HobbyWing ESCs exclusively, this will be a good alternative for me, as it will do away with the need for FAS or FLVS sensor. According to online information, the HW 0850503 should be able to daisy chain with other FrSky sensors, namely the GPS sensor. Currently, the 0850503 is only available from China, and a USA modeler has to go through HobbyWing North America to special order it. Let me know if and when you get some of these 0850503 telemetry adapters is stock.
And I should put a little bug in your ear for some other ASC options with FrSky telemetry:
You do have the FrSky ESCs. They tend to be a little bulky and spendy, but seem to be good performers now.
Escape32 - We offer the Sequre and Escape32 ESCs that run this amazing firmware and they have some real advantages over some other brands, especially if you are wanting to go fast or go tiny. Currently these top out at 120 amps at 8S voltages. They uses a simple wifi dongle that plugs into the servo line and you can then make any needed changes via your phone or computer. No software needed. These are some smooth running feature packed ESCs. They can do anything from high end drone work, RC crawlers, brushed or brushless motor and of course gliders and fixed wing aviation.
Aloft Hobbies offers top quality RC aircraft and radio gear with very reasonable pricing, fast shipping, and full service to backup our products. We are very loyal to our customers!

Don't get me wrong, I like the Hobbywings a lot too! Damn reliable for a good price, nothing wrong with that!!
I have Sequre 70A and the Wifi dongle. I cannot get it to connect to either my PC or iPhone. Any tips? Currently it runs in forward and reverse with no brake, so a little problematic in a motor glider so I need to fix that.

Once the dongle plugged, you can join the wifi and display the page.
Then, if you power up the ESC, the page displays the settings.
If this page doesn't show you settings, verify the fw isn't BLheli our AM32.
If AM32, you can easily switch to Escape32, read the github.
If BLheli, I can't confirm it's easy.
